Spirituality
Among other things, I'm a practicing Wiccan witch. I believe that a spiritual path is not a once-a-week or once-a-year event, but something I carry over into my life every day. This is where you'll find articles I've written about different aspects of my faith.
- The difference between Samhain and Hallowe'en
-
Despite the common Pagan practice of saying that Hallowe'en and Samhain are the same thing, they're not. In this essay I explain why, and the problems that arise when Pagans don't make a very clear distinction between the two. This essay was originally posted to my weblog in October of 2003.
- The Ten-Dollar Altar Project
-
Ten Dollars for a complete altar? It can be done! A project that will challenge my friends and offer tips and tricks for the frugal Wiccan!
- So you want to join a coven?
-
Many new Wiccans want to jump in with both feet and join a coven in order to learn. This can be difficult to do and often is inadvisable. This document tells the seeker what to expect from a coven and what to avoid. It was originally intended as a pamphlet for the Montreal Pagan Resource Centre. The pamphlet was never made, but I present the information here in the hopes that someone will find it useful.
- The top 10 Myths about Wicca
-
There's a lot of misinformation about Wicca out there, even from otherwise reliable sources. I believed a lot of this when I was just starting out. You don't have to.
- Pagan/Wiccan Book Reviews
-
I read a lot of books about Paganism. For the record, here's what I thought of the stuff I've been reading recently. Click here for an explanation of how I'm marking.
